Eliminating sex discrimination through research, education and legal activities
Supportive services such as child care assistance, public benefits, and transportation or housing assistance can help adults—especially those with caregiving responsibilities—complete job training programs that improve their economic standing.
Institute for Women’s Policy Research, IWPR’s, Job Training Success Project investigated challenges and support needs of women and men participating in job training programs (including at community colleges), their access to supportive services, how supports are delivered, and the difference they can make for program completion and employment.
