The Ohio NOW Education and Legal Fund

v  Provides resource information and referral services to victims of sex discrimination, their families, and advocates.

v  Supports efforts of legal counsel representing victims and provides links to state and/or national organizations focused on victim advocacy.

v  Files amicus (friend of the court) briefs in precedent setting legal cases.

v  Monitors and distributes information on state and federal legislation for its particular impact on the lives of women and girls.

v  Reviews all major issues affecting women’s lives, especially in the areas of equal employment and educational opportunities, gender violence, family law and women’s health.

v  Makes contributions, scholarships or grant awards to nonprofit organizations and individuals based on availability and need.

Members of the Ohio NOW Education and Legal Fund demonstrate their commitment to feminist core values, equal rights and the elimination of all forms of violence and discrimination by assisting with the on-going work of the organization.

The Ohio NOW Education and Legal Fund (ELF) was founded in 1981 as a state-wide non-profit 501c(3) organization. Tax-exempt donations can be made directly to Ohio NOW ELF 172 E. Royal Forest Blvd. Columbus, OH 43214 by mail or on our website http://ohionowelf.org/wp with pay pal.

You can also donate through Community Shares of Mid Ohio by designating all or a portion of your gift to the Ohio NOW Education and Legal Fund. A few dollars a week from your paycheck adds up and makes a positive impact on our community.

Your contribution allows Ohio NOW ELF to continue to monitor and review legislation and major issues affecting women and girls. Your contribution provides resources and referral information to victims of sex discrimination, their families, and advocates.
